THE BIBLE
Read the Bible every day. For example, you can download a Bible app by scanning the QR code (Bible.com app has all languages) and start in the New Testament. The book John is a good one to start with for example. You will understand everything better by reading the Bible and your mind will be renewed.
You can also find good teachings on YouTube. Search for example for Derek Prince, Mike Connell, Michael Koulianos, Eric Gilmour, Brian Guerin, Kathryn Krick, Tom de Wal (Dutch).
TALK TO GOD EVERY DAY
What works well is to set aside time for God in which you cannot be disturbed. Early morning is a great time for that.
You sit down and focus on God. You can receive thoughts, specific Bible texts or visions (images in your mind). You can also share your emotions and feelings with God. It can help you write down the things you receive from God. Set aside time each day to be quiet and talk to God. Make sure nothing or no one can disturb you.
‘The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.’

God has very specific things for your life. If you find Him you will find yourself because He made you. God wants to show you why you’re here on earth. It will shock you what he has placed inside of you.
WORSHIP
In thanks for what God has done for you, you can worship God. Worship is singing songs to God for example. Expressing gratitude to God is a powerful thing.
You can find beautiful worship on YouTube. For example, search on Bethel Worship or Upperroom Worship. Through worship you will begin to experience God's presence more and more.
‘Yes, I will thank you for as long as I live. I will lift up my hands and I will pray to you. You make me very happy, better than a feast of good food. I will sing happy songs to praise you.’

Speaking in other languages
If you are baptized in water and in Spirit then you might have been speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is an amazing heavenly language which build yourself up and brings deep fruit in your life. The darkness hates when you speak in this language. In Acts 2:4 you can read read what happened when the Holy Spirit came for the first time after Jesus was taken up into Heaven. "
‘They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them to speak.’

1 Corinthians 14:4
‘If someone speaks in tongues, he is speaking only to God. The people who hear him do not understand his message. God's Spirit is causing him to speak about secret things.’

"On a trip for God, I met a man who smelled of alcohol. He didn't seem to be doing well. I struck up a conversation with him and his girlfriend joined us. This couple lived in a van near the Spanish sea. The lady told me that they had very little but that God helped them in miraculous ways each time. She told me how her friend had a motorcycle accident. When he fell he suddenly saw flames from hell and knew that the spiritual world is real. His life had changed from then on but he did not yet know God. I began to pray for him and after a few minutes of prayer I began to pray in "other languages (tongues). Suddenly the man fell down on his knees crying and I joined him. We embraced each other and I continued to pray in the heavenly language. The man cried and recognized that it was the language of God. He asked me if this was the spiritual language from God and I confirmed that it was indeed the language from heaven.
Without ever having heard it, the man recognized that it is a supernatural language.
Discipleship

Like we’ve mentioned before being connected to people who know Jesus many years (people from a good church for example) you can grow very fast.
‘Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All authority of the universe has been given to me. Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”’
Matthew 28:18-20 TPT
Being discipled means that you learn to do what Jesus did. Jesus reached out in love to people who needed a miracle in their life. Jesus also discipled people. He showed them how to walk in the power of God and the new life. There are very good schools and short programs where you can be discipled. This time will change your live completely. You can pray and ask God what to do.

As you can read in the Bible text above, in a healthy church you can see God doing miracles. In these places you can experience God's power and His presence. Maybe you won't see this in the first meeting but the fruits should be visible.
‘In this way you can know if a tree is good or bad. You can know this by the fruit that the tree makes. Figs and grapes do not grow on thorn bushes.’

There are also religious churches that do not believe God still works. Religion is what people have made, God is relationship. You can always check out a church to see what the people are like and what the atmosphere is like. Besides the church, there are also conferences. Usually this is a one-day event with worship and 1 or more speakers who have a good relationship with Jesus. A conference can build you up tremendously and deeply change your life.
YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL
These were the first important steps to the new life. You will get to know God better and you will see that God has an extremely good plan for you. You cannot imagine what awaits you.
